Karan KC, also nicknamed 'The Valentine Boy' is loved by all the nepali fans for his ability to hold the nerves and do whatever it takes to take Nepal across the finish line in crunch situations. In his own words, "Karan KC does not feel pressure, pressure feels Karan KC". A true legend already in the Nepal cricket history till date, he still has a lot left in him. With his ability to hit the pitch hard and get the ball to move, he will at least have one game(if not all) in this world cup where he will have a major impact.
- Recent Form: His recent bowling performances have been average in T20Is, however, he has been amongst wickets in the practise matches in the caribbean and the US. Karan KC performs when it matters so he is a must have in the team in big games. He is an equally capable batter and can win matches for Nepal with the bat too. His ability to assess situations and do the right thing is a big plus in the field even though he is an average fielder.
- Strength: He gets a lot of purchase out of the pitch and can use it to his advantage. He bowls a hard length but can execute a yorker and a bouncer with high precision. His ability to bowl under pressure makes him one of the best bowler on the Nepal side.
- Weakness: Lack of movement from the pitch means that he can go for runs and sometimes way too many as well. His death bowling has been questioned now and then in recent times. He is an average fielder and not as agile in the field sometimes due to his huge build.
Overall, Karan KC, is a must have in the team in important matches where the main difference is just about who handles pressure better. He understands the situation of the match and can contribute in all three departments as needed. When he is bowling or batting, every nepali fan will say,'Karan is there so we still have a chance' no matter what the situation of the game.
